Foraging, Plant Kinship, and Medicine-Making on Common Ground
Rebel Botany is a gentle, grounded invitation to build deeper relationships with the wild, overlooked plants that shape our everyday landscapes. Rooted in the streets and hedgerows of the Hawbush estate, this gathering is a celebration of community herbalism, reciprocity, and the quiet power of weeds.
We’ll walk slowly and look closely. We’ll gather what is given. We’ll meet dandelions, nettles, rosehips, hawthorn, and chickweed as neighbours, elders, and kin. Through walks, wildcrafting, and medicine-making, we’ll explore what it means to honour plants as citizens of our shared ecology — and ourselves as stewards in return.
Each week will unfold in rhythm with the season and the group. There will be tea and fire, names spoken into chalk, jars filled with tinctures, and time to reflect, respond, and remember. Together, we’ll reclaim our herbal lineage and restore our place within it.
